Uncharted Waters was recorded at Hallibakken Studio in Norway on January 11 & 12, 2024.

The session took place the day after Eivind Aarset and Terje Isungset completed their duo recording In Memories of Nature. Using the same setup, the same instruments, and the same microphones, the atmosphere was already charged with creative energy.

When Arve Henriksen joined, the music took an unexpected turn. Together, the trio moved into uncharted waters — exploring new sonic landscapes that emerged naturally in the moment.
