Our accommodations are part hotel, part campground. Feel free to book a room, pitch a tent, park your trailer, or simply sleep under the stars. Slots will fill up fast, but we’ve secured rooms at other nearby motels so you’ll never be far from the action.

Terje Isungset is one of Europe’s most accomplished and innovative percussionists. With over two decades experience in jazz and Scandinavian music he is taking these types of music far beyond their traditional boundaries, becoming more like a cross between a sound artist and a shaman. Crafting his own instruments from Norwegian natural elements such as arctic birch, granite, slate, sheep bells and even ice, he is highly recommended to those sensible to the poetry and simplicity of sounds. “Timbres” and “colours” are central in Terje Isungsets music and compositions.

In the press, his work has often been described as innovative, visual, energetic, and different from any previously known concepts. Isungset has also been commissioned to compose music for Jazz Festivals, Dance Performances, Theatre, Film, etc. (40 commissed concerts) His composition efforts have also brought nine critically acclaimed solo CD`s.

In the book Percussion Profiles Isungset was given a thorough presentation. “Interviews-articles and discographies of 25 of the worlds most creative percussionists”. He has been given the Norwegian awards Jazz musician of the year and composer of the year.

Terje Isungset Has Made 40 Comissioned Compositions Including Work For Theatre And Film. He Is Well Known For His Use Of Alternative Sounds. As A Part Of This Work Isungsets Searching For Specific Sounds Is Very Important.

Since 1999 Isungset Has Used Pure Ice For Making Music Instruments And He Has Also Composed Music For The Ice Instruments. This Has Resulted In 6 Released CD`S Of His “Icemusic”.

He Is Also Using Other Nature Instruments In His Music, Like: Natural Stones, Wood, Bells, Rams Horn And Mouth Harps. On Isungsets First Comissioned Concert “Floating Rhythms” Factory Sounds Made The Whole Essence. Later On He Made A CD Out Of The Sounds Of The Worlds Largest Oilrig.

In 2002 He Made A Commission For Festspillene I Bergen’s 50 Years Anniversary. Isungset Made A Piece “Midt I Mellom Blå” For All The Church Bells Of The City, One Thousand Children And One Symphony Orchestra. Terje Isungset Is Also A Musician Performing Approximately 120 Concerts A Year.
