"When the ice sings" - Ice Quartet at the Luxembourg Philharmonics next week
Looking very much forward to next week working in this amazing building.
Are you familiar with the sound of ice? Not the ice lollies we enjoy every summer, but the ice that forms when water freezes when it’s very cold. Perhaps you’ve seen it, on frozen puddles or lakes. That kind of ice comes in beautiful and funny shapes: ice crystals, ice flowers, icicles, ice sheets… It can creak, crunch and make lots of other sounds. Stories from the past are frozen into the ice. If you listen carefully, it starts to sing and tell its stories…
